Brenda Ferguson (July 9, 1959 – March 23, 2015 ) was always intrigued by hands and the stories they tell. One Hundred Hands was a shared artistic endeavor involving a series of 100 paintings. It was an opportunity for you to provide the images she painted...and a chance for Brenda to capture a moment in your time. On this blog she shared your images, the paintings they inspired and the process of creating them. She invited "you to join me, creating art together, hand in hand."

Happy Days #028

Jennie submitted this photo of Happy and said, "I'm submitting a photo of our rescued Golden Retriever "Happy" with his purple collar.  All of the dogs adopted from GRRAND (a Golden rescue group in Louisville) go home with a purple collar and purple leash (as well as all shots, spay/neuter, necessary medical care, etc.). We lost Happy two years ago to kidney failure at age 11.  He truly was a happy boy throughout his life and I miss him still."

Friends #026

I was invited recently to snow shoe at Acadia National Park with my friend, Sue, and her daughter, Heather. At one point Sue stumbled (okay, so maybe she was making snow angels)and I helped her up. The cool thing about this painting is if you invert it, Sue's  helping me up. That's just how friendship works, doesn't it?
