Brenda Ferguson (July 9, 1959 – March 23, 2015 ) was always intrigued by hands and the stories they tell. One Hundred Hands was a shared artistic endeavor involving a series of 100 paintings. It was an opportunity for you to provide the images she painted...and a chance for Brenda to capture a moment in your time. On this blog she shared your images, the paintings they inspired and the process of creating them. She invited "you to join me, creating art together, hand in hand."

Puppy Love and Puppy Love Too #024 & 025

The dear lady, whose father is joyfully trying to contain "Piper", purchased this as a gift for her niece, the dog's owner. She soon decided she would gift herself, also. Though I was working from the same image, I wanted each piece to each be an original, so used the different horizontal /vertical formats and used different supports for each. The first painting (above) is done on Wallis sanded paper, the second (below) on a ground of Art Spectrum primer I applied myself.
Soft pastel, 5" x 7"
